Asian hate crimes have heightened and it has been hard to swallow.
I showcased some of the violent attacks on our community and selected real-life hate crimes that have happened recently. From March 2020- to September 2021, a total of 10,370 reported hate incidents then increased 339% surpassing 2020's records, according to the Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism.

Inspiration:
I am proud to be an Asian American, but growing up in New York City, I witnessed and dealt with racism. It's unfortunate Asians are still experiencing these tragic attacks. I was motivated by the unity of the Anti-Asian racism movement. I hope this piece spreads awareness through education and love.
